Field Trip Friday: San Pedro Library

OK, it’s been a while since I’ve been to the San Pedro Library. I had no idea they weren’t open til 1:30 on Fridays and closed 4 hours later. Boo. I had plans to be there all day, digging in the San Pedro History newspaper clippings file (shown above). But I could only be there for a couple of hours. I did manage to find a couple of fun things for us to talk about.

I found out about the San Pedro History section when I was doing some research for the Warner Grand Theatre. It’s basically a collection of newspaper clippings that have been separated by subject. It can’t compete with the Historical Society archives in both quality and quantity of content, but it kills them in accessibility.
